Any place called The Rocket City better have exciting attractions! The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is home to Space Camp for adventurers of all ages, the official visitors center of Marshall Space Flight Center, an interactive space museum, and a space-themed amusement park. More down to earth, literally, is the Botanical Garden and its 112 acres of flowers, walking trails and unique features such as an aquatic garden and one of the nation's largest butterfly houses. Sci-Quest Hands-On Science Center has year-round educational programs and exhibits that turn science into fun for kids and adults of all ages. The Earlyworks museums do the same thing for history. Burritt on the Mountain combines local history with nature and live entertainment while providing a fantastic view of the city from atop Monte Sano. And while these attractions are great for visitors, they’re also popular with locals who enjoy them year round.
