Huntsville/Madison County is home to three professional sports teams. The Huntsville Stars is the AA minor league affiliate for the Milwaukee Brewers and has seen more than 250 players make it to the major leagues. The Huntsville Havoc are part of the Southeast Hockey League.
College sports are also big fun with the Alabama A&M Bulldogs and the UAHuntsville Chargers. For major market professional sports enthusiasts, Huntsville is just a short drive to sporting venues in major markets of Atlanta, Nashville, and Birmingham.
